Waze Is Testing New Features, There's a History of Crashes

It is hoped that this breakthrough can reduce the number of deaths and injuries due to traffic accidents that often occur on highways.

Meanwhile, according to Geektime, it is possible that Waze will not display red on roads that users frequently pass by.

Meanwhile, Waze obtained the history of accidents in this application through user reports. This application will provide option features for the report. If the user does not activate it, the road will not be red, which means the road is safe from a history of accidents.

This feature is also the newest feature of this application since Waze joined the division that oversees Google Maps and Google Geo.

Previously, on October 7 2020, this navigation platform had updated several of its features. Starting from travel suggestions to live maps stored in the application.

"These travel suggestions and live maps will anticipate and address users' specific needs. So, they can travel stress-free and safer by using Waze," wrote a Waze spokesperson in a press statement.

"Waze will provide personalized recommendations in the "Travel Suggestions" feature. "So users can be helped in anticipating things that happen during the trip," he added.

"Meanwhile, with the "Most Recent Location" feature, Waze will show the destination from the last location, and through the "Live Map", drivers can save their travel plans directly to the application," concluded the spokesperson.

As a result of this update, the location icon will move to the bottom of the search column. So users get recommendations, for example, when they are looking for a parking place.

Then, the "Lane Guidance" feature will tell the driver the correct path. Waze also improves predictions of travel time until reaching the destination through the "Estimated Arrival Time" feature.
