Definition of Contra Flow: What is it Like?
Based on sources from the Gresik Regional Police, East Java, regarding Contra Flow, which is defined as traffic rules. These rules can make changes to the normal direction when driving on the road.
The function of the Contra Flow practice is carried out for the purpose of driving comfort. Through the existence of Contra Flow, it is hoped that the traffic jam situation can be resolved, the highway will still be maintained because vehicle users, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled, pass it carefully every day, and emergency evacuation activities can run smoothly.
Contra Flow also means a situation when a driver uses an additional lane that originates from a different lane. On average, Contra Flow's practices are followed by directions from the authorities in an effort to reduce traffic jams.
Get to know the term One Way.
The opposite of Contra Flow, One Way means one direction. The broader meaning is planning in traffic by changing lanes that were originally 2-way to 1-way only. One-way practices are usually to get around high levels of traffic jams.
Another thing that is different between One Way and Contra Flow is that if One Way applies, it will use all the lanes for driving, while in Contra Flow, each passing driver can only use part of the lane.
Meaning of Odd Even
Another term that often appears in traffic information is odd-even. This means that all four-wheeled vehicles, buses, trucks carrying goods, and motorbikes with odd markings will be prohibited from plying on even dates. Likewise, vice versa. If you want to know when it will come into effect, you have to frequently look for updated information.
